Genesis
In the beginning, the planet Genesis was a beautiful planet. An undisturbed gem with clear air free of pollutants, millions of acres of deep lush forests, and vast oceans filled with clean, clear water. A perfect place for the 2300 passengers of The Constellation to begin life anew. It was for this reason that Genesis was chosen as a destination by The Caretaker, the advanced artificial intelligence system that guided The Constellation colony ship to the Velorum Galaxy.
That all changed when Genesis was struck by what most assume to be an enormous asteroid. The object in question came in unbelievably fast, so fast in fact that it completely evaded detection until moments before impact. The collision pulverized nearly a quarter of the planet, and threw up massive clouds of debris that permeated the atmosphere and for years prevented light from reaching the surface of Genesis. The consequences to the biosphere were devastating, and eventually reduced the once lush planet to little more than a floating ball of rock and sand.
Much of that debris is still trapped in the atmosphere of Genesis, and it often acts as a natural cloaking field. Blocking radio signals and penetrating lasers from getting into or away from the planet. Despite the violent and perpetual sandstorms, the hostile atmosphere, and general lack of hydration (or perhaps because of these reasons), Genesis has become the suspected headquarters for Wiseman Inc., the courier company created by Darius Meister. This theory is supported by multiple reports witnessing Darius's starship, The Emperor, frequently entering and exiting the planet's surface.
Much like Darius himself, Genesis has become a planet shrouded in obscurity and surrounded by a sea of half-truths and theories, an ideal location for anyone seeking privacy, or a place to hide something…or someone. Naturally this makes the planet one of the most likely locations for the legendary Meister Horde, an enormous vault rumored to contain a vast collection of talismans, treasures, and technology, acquired by Darius over time.
